All Cows Eat Grass (ACEG) is a band & art collective based in Atlanta while harkening to sounds within as well as far beyond the borders of the A. Dedicated to the preservation of free minds & boundless souls, All Cows Eat Grass shares stories based on real-life, fantasies, dreams & nightmares. Friends for nearly a decade, ACEG prides themselves on being cultural curators, marketers and producers of music and live show experiences. All Cows Eat Grass’ Self-Help is the electro-funk pop band’s 2nd album and the follow-up to the 2014 debut project, The Kool
Collection. ACEG front man T. Brown’s travels as music director for Janelle Monáe contributed greatly to the creation of tribal, funky, electro-trap tunes that express a locally cultivated world sound; music as comfortable in North Memphis as it is in South Wales. The band has had some notable successes in 2018, including releasing its first collaborative effort in the form of the Air Castle Ep featuring soul icon N’Dambi. The Ep has thus far received critical acclaim from taste makers such as AfroPunk which aptly compared the ep’s sound to the sound of “Quincy Jones and Syereeta aboard the Mothership.” Also, the All Cows Eat Grass catalogue has gained success in the sync licensing world having been featured the film festival favorite, “9 Rides,” and also on season 2 of Netflix’s “Dear White People.”
All Cows Eat Grass’ members are Genae “Franki” Franklin, Kenneth Harris, II and Rafael Pereira. As graduates of Spelman, Morehouse and Georgia State respectively, the live sound of this unit is influenced by its varied roots:
Franki hailing from the great city of Oakland, certainly brings the fierce yet free spirited California, Bay Area vibe in full effect. Kenneth, hailing from the A (Atlanta that is), brings a soul to the band that can't often be found north of the Mason Dixon. Rafael, hailing from one of the world’s greatest treasures in São Paulo, Brazil, brings a cultural depth to the band's fabric that is truly priceless and so necessary. Terrence, hailing from Memphis, TN, a city known for producing musical legends such as the late Aretha Franklin and the great Al Green (not to mention Yo Gotti, and Juicy J), without question brings the grit and southern charm
...and by our powers combined, We are All Cows Eat Grass!
